It was a beautiful day to be outside today.

Woobie and company all got a bath...

 

The apricot tree is blooming...

 

the peach tree was ready to be climbed...

 

the daffodils are blooming...

 

but most of all it was a wonderful day to be silly with my sweetie...

enjoying the small things

Nothing super exciting going on, good or bad.  I've been trying to concentrate on the good things and concentrate on keeping a positive attitude until spring is here.  Some things that are making me happy lately:

• Enjoying the warm weather here.  The wind has come up with a vengeance, however, and it has been brutal out there the last few days.
• Loving my gig at Scrapping the Music.  We got published this month, which was fun.
• The acupuncture is doing really well for me. No migraines for a few weeks (which is huge for me) and my overall mood has improved significantly.  I wonder why...?
• We are going to be able to take Mom on a mini-vacation to Las Vegas at the end of the month.  I'll be working there anyway, so we worked it out for all of us to be there.  It will be a nice treat for her, if only to have her own space for a few days!
• Utica Spaghetti bubbling away on the stove.  A family recipe on Dwayne's side.  Very yummy.
• Watching "Airplane!" last night. That's one movie I can watch over and over and still laugh.  And please stop calling me Shirley.
• The laundry room project shaping up, transforming from a dungeon to a bright room that's actually attractive.  I was willing to settle for "not scary" but my honey had other plans. 
• Hannah is just a joy!  She's learning to spell and add and I just love the weekend mornings when she jumps into bed with us for snuggles.  It doesn't get any better than that.
• I love watching how much Dwayne is enjoying flight nursing.  He is so energized and excited!
• Looking forward to planting some spring bulbs (peonies and hostas) soon.
