She's the dog that belongs to our friend's daughter, the one who got in the car crash. Rachel is in brain injury rehab now, and Zan understandably hasn't been able to give Conga the attention she needs so we said we would foster her until Rachel's situation stabilizes. Which may be never, we all know that.
She is a sweet old girl. She's a 12 year old German Shepard ?Chow cross. It's some Oriental breed, as she has a semi-black tongue. But she just followed us humans around the house, nudging at our hands to be petted. And although she hasn't lived with other dogs, she blended in well with our pack.
Well, our pack is pretty mellow and the rules are pretty simple. Kirby, the only one with the age in the single digits is alpha. The geriatrics stick together and all is good. Since Conga is submissive and old she got on well. Played (gently, mind you) with Jake and Ebony, her fellow senior citizens. Explored the yard a lot. Ended her day sleeping all night in Hannah's room on a blanket Hannah put down for her.
While I was out there taking pictures of Conga, the pack leader and attention whore Kirby had to show off his new spring coat.
Good thing cute goes a long way in this house.
